A national grassroots voluntary health organization founded in
1924. It's mission is to reduce disability and death from
cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Cardiovascular diseases claim
nearly a million lives every year -- more than the next five
causes of death combined. These diseases include heart attack,
stroke, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure,
congenital heart defects and a host of others, and they target
people of all ages, races and ethnicities.

promotes the humane care of animals used in filmed media,
assigns a production a rating indicating how well the animals
were cared for and issues the only authorized "No animals were
harmed" end-credit disclaimer.
