Founded in 1997, the HMI's mission is to nurture the future of
music by providing comprehensive professional training and
multi-level outreach programs that make a direct impact in
people's lives. HMI's Summer Education Program offers college
students and emerging professionals the training and experience
necessary to pursue a successful career in music. HMI provides
84 full scholarships (tuition, room and board) for this
four-week intensive training program that includes a rigorous
program of master classes, seminars, panel discussions and
rehearsals and is completely funded by corporate, foundation and
individual donations.
