The Arvydas Sabonis Foundation was
established by basketball superstar Arvydas Sabonis to support the
Sabonis Basketball School in Lithuania and to further provide
opportunities for Lithuanian
children to engage in meaningful recreational
activities.
The
AWard Foundation
was established by New York Knicks Point Guard Charlie Ward and
wife
Tonja Ward. The Foundation's mission is to
improve the lives of young people through mentoring and educational programs, as well as sports
and Gospel music programs.
The Britney Spears Foundation
was
established by teen singing sensation Britney Spears in December of 1999 as part of The Giving Back
Fund. The Foundation was established to positively impact the lives of under-served children.
The Britney Spears Camp for Performing Arts (originally known as Camp Summer Stars) was designed
under the guidance of The Giving Back Fund to provide free performing arts workshops and
master's classes to children ages 11-14 during a 10-day summer camp.
The Cure Parkinson's Project
was inspired by GBF donor and Board member Jim Warsaw. This collaborative project will bring
together leading Parkinson's researchers, patient advocates,
funders, and pharmaceutical companies who
will work together to accelerate the cure for Parkinson's.
The Donyell Marshall Foundation was
established to broaden the horizons of deserving youth by providing them with positive, rewarding,

The Doug and Laurie Autism Foundation was
established by pro football player Doug Flutie and his wife, Laurie, as their life-long commitment
to make a difference in the lives of autistic children and
their families. The goals of the foundation
are to assist financially disadvantaged families who need assistance in caring for their autistic
children, fund research and education into the causes and consequences of childhood autism, and to
serve as a clearinghouse and communications center for new and innovative programs and services
developed for autistic children.
